BIO

He began his career early as a guitarist, receiving awards such as first prize at the national level of Jugend Musiziert and a scholarship from the European Guitar Teachers Association (EGTA). He studied pop music at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover and gained extensive national and international live experience as a musician—playing arena tours for audiences of over 250,000 as well as festivals in countries including Scotland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Austria.

When Birk moved to Seattle for several months, he worked as an assistant in various recording studios, where he met and learned from renowned producers associated with bands such as Soundgarden, Death Cab for Cutie, Pearl Jam, and Mudhoney. Since 2021, he has been based in Berlin, working from his studio at Funkhaus Berlin, surrounded by a network of national and international players in the music industry.
